Birmingham Charity Softball Tournament - On the 28th April 2012, the Birmingham Bobcats hosted five other local Birmingham Sports Clubs to raise over 860 poundsfor Birmingham Children's Hospital!!  The tournament was won surprisingly by Harborne Hockey Club , who went undefeated on the day.

Welcome to the official website of the Birmingham Bobcats Softball Club. This site includes everything you need to know about the team and our very busy schedule.

The Birmingham Bobcats are an affiliated British Softball Federation club based in Edgbaston, Birmingham. Established by a small core of dedicated players in 2010, the club has grown significantly and now consists of more than 40 members. The club are part of the West Midlands Softball Championship and are a founding member of the upcoming Mercia League.

Softball is a team game like baseball and rounders. The Birmingham Bobcats play a version of softball called slow-pitch 'co-ed' (male and female players), which is suitable for all abilities. The game takes place on a diamond, and the ball is not actually soft but it is much larger than a baseball. It is a very social sport - team spirit is key and the Bobcats have a reputation for being one of the most ebullient and gregarious teams in the country.

The club is dedicated to providing members with the best possible softball experience. To do this the club offers all members weekly structured training sessions run by a qualified coaching team, participation in national tournaments, participation in local leagues, an intra-club league (new to 2012), a variety of social events and, most importantly, the opportunity to meet new people in a safe and extremely fun atmosphere.

In 2011 the Birmingham Bobcats established the TourCats. This is an annual event which offers members the opportunity to play a friendly tournament against another European Country. In 2011 the TourCats travelled to the Netherlands to play the Sittard Condors; In 2012 the TourCats will be joining the Cologne Cardinals for a tournament in Germany.
